The Whole Child
Raising children is a never-ending job. Just when you think you have an upper hand on them and think yourself the perfect parent, they surprise you into realizing how little you really know. There are no training courses for parents, but the Internet has some fascinating resources that can help.
Today’s FamSite looks at one that complements a Public Broadcasting System (PBS) series called the Whole Child. It focuses on child development from birth to age five. There are separate sections for parents, for early educators and care providers, as well as an ABC’s of child development. There is even an area for special needs children, and one on developing a child’s self esteem.
Any tools we parents can get to help us in raising our children can be invaluable, and make our lives easier. Share this site with a friend or prospective parent or parents. It is a great site to let other know about.
