The Wizard of OZ Exhibit
One of the most cherished children’s stories over the past 100 years is about a little girl who is whisked away from her home by a tornado, and visits a wonderful and mysterious land. One of the most popular films of all time was based on that story, and is also the subject of today’s FamSite.
The story is the “The Wizard of OZ”, and today’s FamSite is one that is sponsored by the Library of Congress. Here is an online exhibit of not only film artifacts but also the entire OZ library. There are wonderful pictures of the first books ever published, the author’s application for copyright, and artifacts about the books and films (such as the OZ Monopoly game). It is almost like visiting OZ itself.
So enjoy your trip down the Yellow Brick cyber highway today and have wonderful visit with the wonderful Wizard of OZ.
