Tips on Decorating Your Preschooler’s Playroom

So your little angel has moved from teething toys and sippy cups to action figures and finger paints. Now you want to give your child the best preschool playroom. How do you decorate the room? Here are some tips to follow.

Use Bright Colors

Kids love bright colors, that’s a fact. Paint the playroom with your child’s favorite color and fill it with blocks and shapes with bright colors. Also, with great selection of bright colors, you can make a game of picking colors with your child.

Have Separate “Play Areas”

Kids have lots of different interest, most of the time they do many of these interests all at the same time. If you separate art supplies from action figures and stuffed animals, your child will learn how to do things and enjoy them and know what the things that doesn’t go together.

Have an Art Studio in a Corner

Corners are great places for doing art stuff and feed the interest of the budding young artist within your child. Place a small desk in your chosen corner, pair it with a small and child-sized cabinet, put some art materials around, etc., and let your child harness his or her creative side.

Have a Napping Corner

Play is good for kids, it helps them develop tons of things. However, sleeps and power naps is also crucial for their growing body. Setting up a napping area within the playroom is a good idea to encourage sleep time to your kids. Make that area darker than the rest of the room. Put some soft and comfy cushion, stuffed toys, pillows with colorful pillowcases, etc.

Keep an Open Space at the Middle

Designate an open space at the middle of the room for your child to play. Free the space from any obstacles to let your child roam and enjoy playing freely.
