World’s Biggest Books

There’s a lot that can go into the criteria to determine the world’s biggest book, the most commonly used is based on how many words. However, I like to look at sales. Thus, for my criteria, it would be based on how many books printed. Anyone who is a big fan of trivia will know that “The Bible” knocks all others out of the park.

If we get away from religion based books, the winner is “Quotations From Chairman Mao”. For those of you who don’t know, Mao was a political leader for Communist China in the 1960’s. His book was one of much debate and intrigue in china, and copies were made for nearly the entire country. If you take this even further and go for solely fiction based work, the hat goes to “A Tale of Two Cities”. This story by Charles Dickens Illustrates the brutality of before, and during the French Revolution.
