Adopt-A-Schnauzer

I began a lifelong love affair with miniature schnauzers back in 1984. A good friend of mine in my place of residence at that time, Amarillo, Texas, was a breeder. His dogs and I hit it off. The cocky little terriers were just the right mix of whiz, vinegar, courage, intelligence, loyalty, and love to hit it off with me.
Five years later, I obtained McDuff. He was an amazing animal. Though schnauzers are not bred for water, he would jump into any pond or lake and swim his brains out. He was also a loving, faithful companion until his untimely death at the age if fourteen.
Now, I have Dugenheimer. He loves his rubber chicken, and will quietly deposit it in a place convenient for me in the hope that I will locate it and throw it so he can recover it. For instance, while laying tile in my bathroom today, he kept laying it in the box containing the tile.

How can you not love a dog like that?
