Africa was once described as the Dark Continent. It was described as this because it was so large, and so little was known about it. Today, thanks to the Internet, it is not as unknown as it was. Today’s FamSite is one that shows what life is like there, as least the wildlife.
Called Africam, this site is two live action cameras that update every 30 seconds with images of two watering holes on the Djuma Game Reserve. There is also a remote camera that is moved around from time to time, to give different perspectives of life in the jungles of this continent. It gives a very up close and personal look at some of the most beautiful and dangerous animals in the world.
Remember, these are live cameras, and, like real life what they show can be boring at times. But if you keep checking back, you will be sure to see some memorable sights.
