The Guenette Site

In years gone by (or so my grandparents tell me), evenings were spent with the family gathered around the fire, talking or listening to the radio. This type of closeness strengthened the bonds that family members had for one another, and made for a pleasant home life.

In the high tech world we are in today, it is nice to see that the same type of togetherness is possible, but due to environmental concerns, it often isn’t around a blazing fire. It is possible for it to be living room watching television, or even a computer. A computer you ask? Yes, a computer. As I explore the net more and more looking for sites to present here, I am finding more and more sites that are not only family oriented, but developed and written by families. Today’s site is a prime example of what I mean. It is called The Guenette Family Site, and is about the Guennette family. Each family member has their own web page, reflecting who they are and what their interests are. For example, you learn that Nathan (age 3) really likes “Toy Story”, and Barney. You get to know Carrie and Dan, the parents, like they were your next door neighbors. Dan has a lot of clip art that is available free, and he asks you not to charge for it (if he can’t make any money off it, neither can you ).

This site is also fun to visit because it is located in Canada, our neighbor to the north. You get a real feeling what life is like in their country. It is a pleasant visit, and a site worth bookmarking for a return visit.
