Ancient Egypt

One of the most intriguing civilizations to have existed over the past few thousand years is one that still fascinates us today. Today’s FamSite looks at a cyber location that helps to explain that society and some of the day-to-day activities that occurred then.

The site is called Ancient Egypt. Here you can explore the land of the pharaohs and be entertained while learning a thing or two on the way. You can find out what life was really like in those times, from the building of mud houses to farming to being a scribe. You can explore the Pyramids, find out about the Gods and Goddesses that were worshipped, and how they were worshipped. You can also learn about the various occupations and trades that were there, as well as the hieroglyphic writings that have fascinated and puzzled scientists for years.

This is a great educational site, one that is timely since most kids are now back in school after the Christmas holidays. Enjoy your visit here today, and be sure to share it with your favorite student.
