CHIAPAS – The Land, The People, The Struggle

One use of the Internet is to share information. It can be a useful tool to help explore other cultures, and visit places that one may never get to, or not have a desire to go to. But travel is a broadening experience, as is the information one learns while one is traveling.

The Famsite today visits a location in cyberspace that makes the most of its bandwidth telling the story of a village in Mexico. CHIAPAS – The Land, The People, The Struggle is about a life in a society and culture far removed from our own. This is photographic study of the politics, life, and culture in this small town, and it presents it in a very positive light. But this site is also presenting the power of the Internet as a means of communication. There are several links to local sites, as well as the author’s insight to what is really going on in this area of the country.

For a site with a little different spin on tourism and travel, visit this one. It is a sure-fire winner in my book.
