Dear Santa

Here it is, the time of year I have been waiting a whole year for. The Christmas season is upon us. This is truly my favorite time of the year. The feelings and atmosphere for the next month will truly be fun and relaxful and joyous, filled with anticipation as the big day approaches.

With that in mind, we kick of the FamSite Holiday season with one site that every parent should be aware of, and take advantage of. It is called Dear Santa, and is a site where little people can write to the man from the North Pole himself. With the advances in technology, it is now possible to communicate with Santa Claus directly via email, rather than the old envelope and stamp routine (although I have it on good authority that method still works). There are some other links at this site, but the main emphasis here is writing to the man himself.

Over the next month, we will be hitting several seasonal sites. If you have a favorite one, please don’t hesitate to send it to me at [email protected] and I will do my best to feature it.

Happy Holidays.

Recent entertainment trends have given way to a lot of original material from the 1960’s becoming popular. Note movies such as “McHale’s Navy”, “The Addam’s Family”, and the cable network Nickelodeon’s TVLand. But one of the most original leftovers from that decade just haven’t gone away, they are still here, and today they are the…

One day my son came home from school enthused about a program that one of his teachers had shown his class. It sounded quite interesting, especially since it seemed to get him interested in animals and biology type subjects. So he started watching it at home, and I decided to make it today’s FamSite. The…
