EyeWitness
The lessons of history is that we learn from not only what our ancestors did wrong, but what they did right. That is how we can improve our quality of life, and pass on to our ancestors the same lessons. Today’s FamSite is on that not only shows us the lessons of history, but it shows it in a most memorable way.
The site is called EyeWitness, and it is just that. Here you will find eyewitness account to the events of our past. But not only will you find words, but pictures and voices as well. From well known events such as World Wars I and II, to the stock market crash of 1929 and other lesser known events, here is a chance to get a close look at the events unencombered by the editorialization of a history book. You can hear Teddy Roosevelt as he campaigns for President in 1912, Charles Lindbergh describe his 1927 solo flight of the Atlantic, and Franklin Roosevelt in one of his most famous political speeches, defending his dog Fala.
This site is history up close and personal. Be sure to share it with a friend, or a fellow student, and enjoy your visit here today. Be sure to come back tomorrow for another family safe site.
