A lot of parents especially the young couples are not used to raising kids. Raising their first two children can be a challenge especially if they haven’t been around children at all. So that they won’t have a hard time raising their children, here are some facts about kids that they need to know.

First, children have a very short attention span. They might be interested in one topic but will quickly be interested on another topic after awhile. This can be a problem to those who doesn’t know about this because they end up scolding the children when they are no longer listening. To address this, you must have different topics with you instead of discussing one topic for hours.

There are different forms of intelligence. One child might be good at listening. By just saying the instructions, they will immediately know what to do. There are also children who won’t understand if you just instruct them by mouth. You have to demonstrate to them how a particular task is done. There are also children who learn if they are allowed to dance and participate. Be sensitive to these kinds of intelligence when dealing with children.

Lastly, if you to catch the attention of children, you must learn to exaggerate everything. The way you act, the way you talk, the way you dance and sing should be exaggerated. This a good way to capture their attention and at the same get their focus so that they’ll listen to your topic or to your story.
