Getting Real
Teens these days have a tough time. Much tougher than when I was in high school, or you were in high school. Culture changes, societal changes, legal changes have all made life more challenging. Tastes have changed as well. Today’s Famsite is a great example of that.
It is called Getting Real, and I will describe it the best I can. According to my teenage daughter, I am really out of it, and haven’t a clue what this site is about. But I think I will prove her wrong. This is a 2001 version of on line Internet adventures. There are some guides, namely Jasmine, Geoff, Devin, and Dawn, among others. They help not only with cyber stuff, but help by providing advice to visitors. This is a really groovy site that has a mountain of possibilities, and is extremely well written with teens in mind. It isn’t too boring (there are some online games), and a good time can be had by all. So tell your kids about it, and let them find out what is going on them.
