Kids Peace
KidsPeace is an organization which is dedicated to helping to bring hope and treatment to America’s children. It accomplishes this through several public awareness and treatment programs.
This web site is a wealth of information for both kids and adults who may be going through tough times in their lives. There are links to a wide variety of organizations which can offer counseling, support, and there is even an on-line magazine called Healing Magazine. There is an interactive section that features solutions for kids, and tips for parents. There is even a quiz so we parents can see how well we are doing. As a former foster parent, the section on Foster Parenting was especially interesting.
If you aren’t facing a crisis with your children yet, this site may be a place to learn about what can be done when you do. If you are in the middle of one, then this may give some help and ideas. And if you have just come through a crisis, the ideas here may prove to be a great way to see how it could have been done differently.
I’m a mom of a teenage son with bipolar an ADHD an Asbergs disorder, I’ve tried for years to find help for him, but never really get true help, We have got the run around all the time, a friend told me to contact kids peace to see if there was help heremy son is 16 hes on Depakot an effexor xr but still our lives are forever a struggle,, can someone give me info where I can get his meds managed by someone who cares, We were going threw geisinger, an hershey, but life still so hard,,, please rescue us from this crashing life………..Lisa
