Nancy Drew

Growing up, I read the Hardy Boy books my uncle gave me to read. When I had exhausted those, I turned to my mother’s Nancy Drew books. They were the same type of book, but unique in their own way. But they were exciting.

Today’s FamSite is about Nancy Drew, called NancyDrew.com. Here you can find out the history of this youthful heroine, as well as what the current book selection she is featured in. There is a kid’s section, with games and a community area, and an introduction to her, as well as an online mystery. In the Adult section, designed for parents and teachers, the areas are the same, but with a mature nostalgic feeling to them. There is also a section on lesson plans, showing teachers how to incorporate these books into their reading plans.

So if you are looking to visit an old friend, or introduce your child to a new one, this is a great site for you to visit. H
