Paul McCartney

Mention Paul McCartney to anyone, and the answer you get will most likely depend on the age of the person you are asking. Those of us that are chronologically challenged will remember him as one of the Fab Four. Younger people may remember him as that chap who toured with the group Wings. Currently, he may be thought of as a composer of classical music.

Whatever your memories of him, today’s FamSite is one that will educate and entertain you. Here you can find out the details of the newly knighted Sir Paul, and his post-Beatle recording career and life. From his album “McCartney”, to the most recent “Flaming Pies”, you have a chance to explore his music and compositions. You can sample music clips, as well as his Oobu Joobu radio program. There is a featured album section, this month highlighting the upcoming release of Linda McCartney’s “Wide Prairie”.

Enjoy your stop here. This is an interesting insight into one of the most prolific recording geniuses in the world of music.

  7. I was in London near Abbey Road in February 2005. Saw a gent there that looked just like Paul McCartney. I checked the cover of that recent Rolling Stone to find the same hair cut and look. Even took pictures of a home with many, many security cameras and a wall around the home. Anyone know if he may actually live around Abbey Road?

  8. Paul,I was recently in London and took the tour to Abbey Road with Richard.I was with my twin 13 year old daughters and had written Richard before hand asking how hard of a walk it was and how many stairs etc,due to health issues. He replied with general info that looked like we could take it.My daughter has Mild cerebral palsy but during long walks we have to push her in a chair. When we had to take the tube the group lost us and it resulted in my daughter falling on the escalator, which was quite scary.Thank God a person got to her in time and she was only cut and bruised.I wrote Richard and he replied I should have asked for help.Since when does a person in a wheel chair need to ask for help?To have them lose us on the tour is unforgivable. He should have placed us at the front of the tour ,that way we wouldn’t have lost our way.As iot was we could barely keep up and barely hear what he was saying.Five hours later we made it to Abbey Road -we were happy to be there! There were no cabs as Wimbleton was going on,but we did manage to finally find our way back to the hotel. The best part was seeing parts of London we never would have seen.Very pretty areas.I sincerely hope you see this.Mary

  9. Hello! I want to say that I also love the Beatles, like the rest of the world! The Beatles are amazing and have this amazing sense of music that makes them so well liked and legendary. Everyone loves them because we all feel like we can relate to them-as if we have been friends with them. My favorite was George Harrison. He is amazing. I would love to meet Dhani Harrison! I wish all the Beatles were alive and we could all chill along with everyone else in the world! I would also love to meet Yoko! Go to Bagism.com! Join!

  21. I am 14 years old also, own EVERY BEATLES RECORD, and a lot of the Wings’. I live in Canada so I’ve never seen Paul, and probably never will, but that is probably the one thing in this world that I really want. Meeting Paul McCartney. Every time im on the messege boards on his website I can’t help but sigh reading about all the people who have seen him lots, and been to all his concerts, etc.
literally, my goal in life is to get my copy of “Wings Greatest” or something like that autographed. that would be amazing!

  22. I should’ve mentioned George.
I own his Living In The Material World record, and his greatest hits one.
I remember when I found out that he died I was very, very upset. All I did was stay in my room and listen to “Give Me Love, (Give Me Peace On Earth” for hours. I felt terrible.
And by the way, who on earth would ever want Yoko Ono’s address!?!?!?!?
    hahaha, just kidding but still,
My friends and I are planning a huge trip to London just to meet Paul, we wanted to go to his house and just visit with him for five minutes even! All we want are some pictures with him maybe, so I was wondering just how pissed off would somebody as great as Paul be if a bunch of kids wearing beatles shirts holding camaras and records in their arms showed up randomly at his door one day. like would he just slam the door in our face or let us talk to him?

  23. My name is Camille also but Im 16 and I can assure you that they are not related, and I think he would be pretty annoyed but not slam the door on you because getting a bad name is not good. I advise you not to do it though.

  24. Hello Mr.McCartney

  25. Hi, Billy Shears/ Paul McCartney. I just want to say that I admire you. It must Heavy your heart..? But anyway. I guess, Thank you for saving so many Beatles fans lives. Thank you for playing the beatle game. You have an amazing voice. It sounds pretty much like the real Paul. Now I was bad. Sorry. I don’t want you to be mad at me, but yeah. I don’t know what to say. Just thanks. And I love you Billy. Lots of Love. XXX

  26. Is there a way to send an e-mail address to Paul. I have a very sick friend who is his biggest fan. He is in the hospital in Philadelphia with Cancer. His morale is low, the doctors are worried, and I thought any communication from Paul would lift his spirits. Can anybody give me any suggestions,I would really appreciate it. Thanks,

  27. I would like to state my opinion about the recent debate between the McCartney’s and the seal hunt along the east coast of Canada. I myself am a proud Newfoundland and Labradorian who is in full support of the seal hunt. I have watched the debate between the McCartney’s and the Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, and I have noticed that Paul and his wife seem to think they have the upper hand, and all the right facts about the seal hunt, and what Premier Williams is saying. They are critisizing the Premier, not in a direct way, but it a hidden way. I may add songwriters are great at usuing secret messages. Premier Williams invited the McCartneys to NL to prove to them, and give them the facts right down to the bitter truth, but it seems that they have declined his invitation, possibly because they may be faced with evidence that proves the sealing industry is a humane industry. I myself live in a small outport community along the Northeast coast of Newfoundland, and I know many residents of my home town which depend upon the seal hunt for a source of income. I think that if the McCartneys think there is someway to replace the seal hunt with something else such as ecotourism, then they should figure someway to replace every person who relys on the seal hunt with ecotourism or whatever. Seals are not just used for their skins as the Premier managed to get out, in the little while he had while the McCartneys were not trying to take over and ‘hog’ time. If there is any way that Paul or his spouse do see this posting I would respect it if they did go to Newfoundland and Labrador, and accept the Premiers invitation because he is trying to help you understand his point about this hunt, besides letting the public be bombarded with your opinions against the seal hunt.
I am a great Beatles fan, and classic rock fan itself, but Paul McCartney’s recent splurge of negative expressions about the seal hunt which plenty Eastern Canadians rely on, has discussed me so much. If the McCartneys we’re trying to make any of us people in NL feel sad to be a part of Canada that supports this, he sure didn’t do a good job.
I would like to also thank Premier Williams on a great job with the debate against this recent affair, and would like to say you did an excellent job in the time that you had, and the time that was given to you by the McCartney’s.
    Thank you.

We prepared a goodie box with a Nebraska shirt for Bea, a Nebraskaland picture book, some vegan treats and other items. Did you receive it? We gave it to one of those proctors in the brown suit jackets and I have a feeling he didn’t take it back to you. curious. Please remember, 99 percent of the things you worry about turn okay! 39. Mr.McCartney I wrote a poem that I hope you will like.
    DREAMS AREN’T LOST
The sixties and seventies were our time, we were young and sure we could change the world and make it fine. It started with Give Peace A Chance and Love Me Do,the words sounded so very true.We believed in love, truth and peace, something we all knew people could reach. We fought for equality for every race,we knew that every soul was all one race. That we are all links in the wheel of life, and with love and work we could eliminate strife. We knew we were all sisters and brothers, and we were responsible for each other. We believed God to be a loving teacher,
He said”we are our brother’s keeper.”It’s been a long time since those wonderful dreams and somehow life has become callused it seems. Some gave up on love and peace, for all the money and good times they could reach. But some of us are still out there, our faces are wrinkled and we have lost some hair. But in our heart’s we know and believe, that love really is all we need. So,thank you Paul,Ringo,George and John, for showing the way in all of your songs. You still touch our hearts with those beautiful songs, we than the heaven’s that you came along. My husband Wayne is one of your biggest fans.He plays most of your songs with his guitar. He’s just finished reading the “Many Years From Now”,and he really enjoyed it.
His Birthday is on August 11th.It would be an awsome surprise if you could drop him an email to say Happy Birthday. You must think I’m mad!But I thought I’d try anyway. If you do read this, and if you do decide to give this a try,you can send the email to my email address. That would be fantastic.
    Thanks

  46. Hi Paul Mccartney,
After reading all these letters and request to you, I doubt that I will be sucessful. I can only try. My good friend John is 50 years old this year. His lifelong dream is to meet you. I thought if there was any chance of him meeting you or just shaking your hand, I would give it a try. I read the previous letters and there are a lot of request. Maybe he could receive a letter, e-mail, phone call etc. I know you are a big celbrity, but John is a very important person in my life and I thought I would give it a shot. I would appreciate anything you could do.
    Sincerely,
    Florence Mewborn

  47. Hi Sir Paul,
I was born on the late 70s but i love the music of the 60s particularly the Beatles’ song. I wish to see you even only in my dreams. You are my favorite musician.

  48. Dear whomever (?)
I dunn owho reads these but i want to say this: Darn U paul mcCartney X3 I do admit i love the beatles music, but i am not all that happy i was named after one of your songs >,> (and now i am mad/happy to have seen Hard Day’s Night…even if it meant that i had t ohelp my mother drag her blasted record player out -and the speakers- just so we can listen to ALL the albums she ever collected) And mind you there is ALOT of records -including copies- she has.
I would like to say however, thank you for that movie Hard Day’s Night!! I haven’t laughed this much in forever, and i am so happy that it could put a smile on my face ^~^

  49. ..also on a side note, I still wonder if you remmeber my mother the random day she met you at a safeway*laughs* that story never gets old “ok mom and you said WHAT to him?” and her response ‘do you KNOW who you are?!’ It was after all a VERY brief meeting of you, but still *shrugs*

  50. Paul, you are a fantastic human being. Keep doing what you’re doing, and I know you’ll get through everything just fine.
You are loved by many, and at a time like this, you will need that love to make it through.
If you come to the US again soon to do another tour, you can bet I’ll be at every concert!
We love you Paul, and you gotta know it!

  51. James Paul McCartney is NOT the father of Jesse McCartney, and all I want to say is good luck with your… messy divorce with Heather Mills. The Beatles ROCK! There is a rather large fan club at my school, with over 50 people who worship the Beatles…specifically Paul and it’s amazing to know that although we are only 17, we know that they are not dead, will never be dead, even if none of them are living

    Paul McCartney… especially the Beatles.
    I know LOADS about them.
I was searching for contact without having to pay, and thankfully sum1 put an ddress on. Thanks loads,
    Rach x

  54. Dear Mr.McCartney,
I am a fan of you and the rest of the Beatles. I am ten years old. I have tons of beatles stuff and i really think it would be asowme if i could see you in a consert. for my birthday i might be able to go to England. I cant wait.
    Your fan,
    Arianna

  55. Dear Paul,
Hello, my name is Julia and I am definetly the biggest Beatles fan ever!! (Hopefully you’ll get this!) I’m 15 years old and have been a fan for almost a year now, although it feels like I’ve loved The Beatles forever! And, yes, I’m very happy to say that I was named after the song ”Julia”, which I think is very cool. I just want to let you know that all us fans love you so much, I believe that you keep the music of The Beatles alive and going strong so that they will always be remembered forever. If someone can do that, then I’d say they’re a great musician and person. I don’t have to meet you to know that’s true. Although, if there’s one thing in my life that I must do, it’s meeting you or at least getting a reply from you in an email or letter. That would totally be the best day of my life if I received something from you! Well, you and The Beatles will keep rockin’ on in the past, present, and future forever!
    Your greatest fan,
    Julia

  56. hey pauley, a good friend Brad Delp passed at his home[ALL ALONE] He loved the beatles so MUCH! Do you think it would be cool to do a Delp/ Boston co ver? YOU & RICHARD STARKEY! We are all so sad,too soon, death comes like a theif at night. Let me refresh your memory…. He did all beatles covers W/ a band called BEATLEJUICE, he was the balls. He played in Ringos Allstar band. I can sing like you. God gave me agift, but YOU could do a good rendition of “More than a Feeling ! Love Ya, Joe

  57. I’ve been a big Beatles fan for about 30 years.
But most of the post on this site are obsessed fans!
Get a life…as if Paul will respond to any of you! Do your own thing…famous people are ‘just people’ like you and me…

  58. Hey, anyone who reads this, the guy, Adam, who has the comment above mine, is right. I posted a message, thinking it would get to Paul because that’s what everyone else on this site was doing. But, I realized it’s just a site for comments on him or The Beatles. Not for him. It’s not like he’ll read these or respond. I’m not trying to be mean, but it’s true, so you don’t have to ask Paul to call you or something, it won’t happen. But, anyways, Paul and The Beatles are the best ever! Rock on John, Paul, George, and Ringo forever! Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!

  61. Hi,
I’m from Germany and I’m 14 years old. I love the Beatles! I don’t listen to any other music! I read the “Paul is dead” theory and I think it’s very funny but I don’t think it’s the truth.
