POLLSTAR
Looking to find out what concerts are in your area tonight? Want to find out where your favorite group is playing in the coming months. If so, then this FamSite is just what the webmaster ordered.
Called POLLSTAR, it is an online database that lists 36,199 events and 3,217 stars/artists. Using their search engine, you can find out where Bruce Springsteen is playing tonight, or if he will be coming to your town. You can find out who is coming to your town, or the town you will be visiting next month. It even lists the venues that have these artists appearing. Want to see who is playing at the Gorge in George, Washington? It is here. What is really neat is that each artist, city, and venue is linked, so if you see someone is playing in a certain town, you can click on that artist and see what his upcoming schedule is.
This is a very interesting tool, and makes excellent use of the latest internet technology. Be sure to bookmark it, ’cause you never know when it will come in handy.
