Roadside America
Looking for something unusual or different to do on your vacation this year? If so then today’s FamSite has something for everyone. It is one that is most unique and interesting.
Called Roadside America, this site highlights those little known tourist sites in all of the 50 United States. There are numerous sites to visit, such as the Oregon Vortex in Gold Hill, or Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum in Farmington Hills, Michigan, or the Andre the Seal Monument in Rockport, Maine. There are links to the majority of the sites, as well as directions to them. There are online gift shops (i.e., been there, done that, got the t-shirt), as well as specialized tours and a favorite of mine, Impossible Dreamers.
So the next time you hit the road, either in the car or via your modem, be sure to check this site out. It will be some time you will enjoy. Have a nice visit.
