Rolling Stone Network

A measure of the quality of a product is to see how long it will last. If it is no good, it won’t stand the test of time. If it is good, it will be around for awhile. Eventually it will reach the status of being legendary. Such is the example of today’s Famsite.

It is called the Rolling Stone Network. No, I don’t mean Mick and the boys, all though they are mentioned here. This is the cyber warehouse of one of the best publications about the music industry, one that is celebrating their 30th anniversary. Here you can find out just about anything about any issue of the magazine, including interviews, keep up to date on the latest breaking news in the music world, and read reviews of the latest product that is available. There is an index of just about any rock band in the past 30 years, with a good in-depth review of who and what they were/are. This is an excellent online resource for anyone doing research, or just looking to find out about the roots of the music of today. There is a section for live radio (via Real Player), as well as photo of anyone who is everyone (and some who aren’t).

This is an interesting site, one that can be enjoyed on a continuing basis. Bookmark it and come back often. It is a great place in cyberspace.
