It used to be that family gatherings were a time to break out the photo albums and share new pictures (and old ones) of sons, daughters, aunts, uncles, etc. But in today’s world, it is more difficult to get families together physically and relive those old memories. But with the technology of the Internet maturing as it has, the ability to share photos and videos with each other has become much easier.

Today’s FamSite is called the digital fridge, a free site that is an online community for sharing of digital photos and videos. Visitors can post their works to a public area where anyone can see them (and admire their work). But it is also possible to create a private area where only people you want to view them can. There are also selected fridges to visit, and special pictures to view.

This is an interesting use of the Internet to help bring families and friends together. Proud parents can now post those newborn pictures almost instantaneously for distant relatives to see. Enjoy your stop here today, and be sure to share this site with a friend.
