The Garden State Pops Youth Orchestra

Music charms the savage beast. At least that is how the saying goes. Classical music, the Beethoven and Bach type, has been around for many, many years. Other styles of music have also become popular to be played at what are called “Pops” concerts. When the orchestra is composed of talented young people, it is doubly enjoyable.

Today’s site is one describing just such an orchestra. It is called the Garden State Pops Youth Orchestra, and is the home page for this group of young musicians. But it is more than a site that explains what the orchestra does, and publishes it’s schedule. It is a place where visitors can listen to actual music from the players, such as the “Col. Bogey March”, and “Don’t Cry For Me, Argentina”. There are links to other musical sites, that focus on instruments, other organizations, and even humor (Q:”What’s a tuba for?” A: “about 1 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches). There is also a new addition where one can learn about music.
