Traveling is something that many of us do as a part of our work. No matter how much you do, no matter how long you are gone, it can still be stressful, and very disruptive to a normal and orderly routine. To help ease some of the disruption, I try to stay at the same chain of motels, since I know what to expect of them. That sense of knowing what to expect is something I have come to look forward to. There will be clean towels, a clean bed, and courteous service.
One other constant I enjoy in traveling is that, no matter where I am, I will always find a book in my room. That book is a product of today’s Famsite. Rather, that site, not written by them put it there. The book is the Bible, and the group is the Gideons. For almost 100 years, they have been “Distributing God’s Holy Word – Winning Others For Christ”. Here you can learn about the organization, its founding fathers, the source for their inspiration, find out about their mission, and even accept the Lord’s forgiveness. I tried to get into your Memorial Bible site and my computer just comes up with a page that says page not found. I would like to find out how you give Bibles in memory of someone who died.
