VIDEO: Top Chef Judge Gale Gand talks Ice Cream Sundaes and how to win $10,000
Today we have a video interview with Gale Gand, renowned pastry chef and mother of 3 who is a partner at the award-winning restaurant Tru in Chicago. Gale was the long-time host of the Food Network’s show “Sweet Dreams”. She has also appeared on Martha Stewart, Oprah, Iron Chef. And she was a judge on the 2008 season of Top Chef on Bravo.
Gale has won numerous awards herself over the years including awards from The James Beard Foundation, Bon Appetite magazine and Food and Wine magazine. She had also authored 7 cookbooks, including her most recent book Gale Gand’s Brunch, released in 2009.
Here’s a video interview with Gale about adding some pizzazz to your Ice Cream Sundae and how to get the whole family involved. She’s also partnering with Breyer’s Ice Cream in their Sundae Scoop-Off contest from now until September 13th for families to create the most “inspirational” ice cream sundae, using one of Breyer’s 29 flavors of ice cream. The winner gets $10,000 and a whole bunch of other cool prizes so get your chef hat on and start experimenting.
