One of the most fascinating environments on our planet is the rainforest. It is a mysterious and exciting place to visit and learn about. My son’s class spent the last term learning about it, and he has become interested in not only the rainforests, but also the ongoing struggle to preserve them. Today’s FamSite is one that he spent some time at, and comes back to often.

Called Welcome to RainforestEducation.com, this is an online site that educates children about rainforests. It was designed for children who are interested and excited by the awesome beauty of nature. It is family-friendly and child-safe. It is also educational AND entertaining, a great combination that helps kids learn while having fun. There are separate sections on life in the rainforest, plant medicine (and other medicines from the rainforest), as well as a section for games and puzzles, with a special area for young readers.
