How Moms Lose Their Patience

There are many reasons mothers can lose patience, and this can lead into a lot of problems. However, there are also many ways and steps moms can take to prevent themselves from running out of patience. The first way of course, is to know and recognize the reasons why most of us lose patience in the first place.

5 Reasons That Leads To Intolerance

Fatigue – Together with stress, fatigue leads us to the point where we have too much to handle and things starts to fall apart. Fatigue will take its toll, make us lose our patience and unable to recognize the right things to do to solve the problem.

Displaced Anger – Many times, we are annoyed at someone else or something else, which has little or nothing to do with the problem, Unfortunately, our kids are usually the easiest target, and impatience can easily escalate things from bad to worse.

Unrealistic Expectations – We have things in our head that doesn’t take into account the unpredictable nature of life and parenting in particular. Then, we see ourselves getting behind, and feel pressured of the unrealistic expectations we put to ourselves, including to our kids.

Distorted View of Perspective – We always assume that problems are out there to get us, as it things are there on purpose to annoy us, when in the end, it is all our kids being kids, with all their imperfections.

Failure to Plan – Our frustrations and anger are coming up because we fail to put the extra effort to deal with them in the first place. Remember the old saying, when we fail to plan, we plan to fail.

Moms need to recognize these and use them to assess their emotions and check themselves whenever they feel frustrated and impatient of their kids and the stress in their family.
