Family sites that emphasize parenting skills, ways to deal with teenagers, what are the latest periodicals and books to read, are all over the web. I know. I have my eyes on as many of them I can find. I have found one that has a different twist to it, but is a very important site to take a look at.
It is called Jewishfamily.com, and is a site that emphasizes family growth and development from the point of view from that faith. I will admit that I am a Protestant, and don’t understand the Jewish religion as well as I should. So this site was an eye opening adventure. The site format is set up like a magazine. There are columns on various topics such as Nature, Spirit, Body; The Tsuris of Traveling With Children; and one that transcends any faith, Body Piercing. It is actually a question and answer column, but the title does make it stand out. There are also a variety of articles on health, cooking, and travel. The latter has an interesting article called Doing Disney Jewishly – Part 5. A must read for any one contemplating going there.
This is a very interesting and contemporary site, and is very relevant. It contains good information for parents, whether Jewish or not. Have a pleasant visit.
