Mr. Gall’s Class

One of my favorite sites to feature on the Family Site of the Day are ones that are done by younger children, either by themselves or as a group. I feel that by looking at these early attempts, we can see how technology has changed life in the classroom.

Today’s site is called Mr. Gall’s Class, a second grade class located at Eastlawn Elementary School in Indiana. Here you can read the diary entries of all the second graders, and gather their thoughts on life. There is also an interesting biography of Mr. Gall, who has visited 42 out of 50 states. (Oregon isn’t one of them, so I can extend an invitation to stop by the next time he is out our way). It is fun to read journal entries, and see what the leaders of tomorrow have on their minds today. The innocence of some of the entries helps keep this in perspective; after all, the writers are still children.
