Planet Quest

With the emphasis on science and math that is being placed on student in school these days, it is helpful to give them any resource that may be helpful to them. Today’s FamSite is one that helps with the science end of the equation, and is entertaining as well.

Called Planet Quest, it is a site that uses the full potential of the Internet technology to provide a central location for information about the planets, moons, and other items in our solar system. Here are pictures (stunning and full color, I might add), planet comparisons, quizzes, and links to other astronomy sites and clubs. The search engine is easy to use, and provides excellent resource links to the subject being searched. There are a lot of scientific terms used, but there are explanations for them found with no problems.

So if you know of a student who is interested in astronomy or physics, or if you are interested in the planets yourself, then this is a site for you. Be sure to bookmark it and return often. It is a great place to visit.
