The Virtual Museum of Computing

I was on the way home from work today, when I heard on the radio a day that coming up called Geek Day. I’m not sure if that is the official title of it, but it has to be close. Basically, it is the day that you can feel proud to wear a pocket protector, carry a slide rule in it, and talk techie-talk with your fellow employees.

What better way to celebrate the day after such a day, but by visiting a museum? The Virtual Museum of Computing is a collection of anything and everything a person, geek and non-geek, would want to know about computing. Not just computers, but computing. Here you will find as complete a collection of links that highlight such diverse topics as Microprocessor Instruction Set Cards, The History of Microsoft, and the Mind Machine Web Museum virtual display.

If you have any interest of any sort in computing, then this site is one that you should bookmark. It has a wealth of data that cannot be matched anywhere. Enjoy the trip, and don’t forget your slide rule.
