Youth Tree USA

The yellow pages have long been a mainstay for contacting businesses and services you need. The white pages are where you go to find phone numbers of people whose number you don’t know. But what about the Internet? Where do you go to find out about, er, where to go on it.

There are a lot of info services on the web that can provide that information. But one that I have found is oriented towards kids, and is a great place to let your little ones run wild. It is called Youth Tree USA, a site that contains information on low cost or free programs in communities, as well as on line resources. There is a section just for kids, to play games, create a web page, and exchange email with web pals around the world.

This is a site that again exposes the best sides of the Internet. It provides information, while at the same time allowing people to communicate directly with each other. Best of all, it is mostly free. This site is a definite bookmark for parents.
