The 24 Hour Church of Elvis

Last Sunday, we spent some time in Vatican City, home of Pope John Paul II and the Catholic Church. Today, being Sunday again, I thought a visit to another church would be an interesting trip. However, the one we are stopping at today is, well, er… uh, you’ll just have to decide for yourself.

The site is called the 24-Hour Church of Elvis. It is hard to describe the mission of this church, but it has achieved national prominence of a sort. It is available for weddings, for souvenirs, and other tid-bits. It is physically located in Portland, Oregon, and I have been there. It is a trip I will never forget. It was almost as good as a trip to Graceland. Almost, I said.

So if cyberspace esoteric interests you, then head over to the 24-Hour Church of Elvis, and enjoy your stop.
