For anyone who grew up in the sixties, the name Mark Lindsay brings back memories of “American Bandstand”, “Happening ’68 “, and “Where the Action Is”. No, these are not song titles, but are teenage television programs that were popular back then. Mark was a guest on these shows on a regular basis, as a member of the band Paul Revere and the Raiders. Who could forget “Kicks”, “Louie, Louie”, and “Just Like Me” as hits from the golden age of rock-n-roll? Who could forget those nights at the “D” Street Corral?
Well, Mark is still making music these days, and is as popular as ever, if not more so. Today’s Family Site is The Mark Lindsay Home Page, which not only features current tour and music information, but serves as a great reference for the Raiders as well. The “Where the Action Is” section brought back so many memories, and, for me, is the highlight of the site. For anyone who saw it, and wondered about it over that past few years, this section is a must-see. Also some pictures from the Raiders and Mark Lindsay reunion held this last summer at Oaks Park in Portland Oregon are shown here. There is also some Groovy Stuff, Video Dreams, and Sparky’s Lair to visit as well.
